Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm, St John’s swings wide it’s doors for Common Grounds Café. Common Grounds exists to serve the local community by offering a safe, cosy atmosphere, in a beautiful setting for any and all to come and relax and find a brief bit of respite from the vicissitudes of life. So why waste your money buying coffee and cake from expensive chains, when you can support your local community, support the church, have a laugh with friends old and new, all the while feasting on delicious homemade cakes and pastries and sipping on your favourite brew?

Jesus spent a great deal of his ministry round the dinner table. Even our primary act of worship each Sunday is shaped around a meal that He shared with his friends. There is something about the combination of food and fellowship that makes us each more receptive to the work of the Holy Spirit. Common Grounds is for anyone and everyone, you don’t need to have a faith or be a part of the church to come. Everyone is welcome. You might just want to make new friends, or have a good chat,
